1940s Circus Carnival Equipment Trunk Paint Decorated

Circus or carnival equipment trunk, for hauling spotlights, paint decorated with elephants and tigers in red, white and blue! Measures 50″ long, 13″ deep and 17″ high. Very sturdy wood and iron construction that was probably 1940s and repainted in the 1950s/early 60s. It is webbed inside to hold spots in place with a chain that closes up the front.

c1890 Late Victorian Black Lace Top Red Patterned Skirt

Beautiful outfit c1890 of Victorian gothic red & black pattern. The skirt measures 24″ at waist, 40″ long and nearly 90″ in circumfrence at the bottom. Mercerized olive cotton waist band and lining, finished in a beautiful little Japanese Aesthetic brass button. Appears to be an embroidered cotton twill in a stunning pattern. Vibrant color, and though matched the pieces look splendid together. SOLD

Victorian MOP Sterling Parasol Handle Halloween Gothic

Beautiful piece from the late Victorian era (c1890-1900), 7 1/2″ mother of pearl with sterling silver mount and handle. Decorated with extremely unusual halloween motif. On the “front” the outline of a spider’s web creates a shield (that is engraved with unreadable initials) and two spiders. The reverse shows a folky spider web with three circling it. Marked Sterling. The parasol handle has long been separated from any parasol. There is a bit of damage to one corner where the handle has been dropped and the silver has crumpled. Damage does not show when the piece is displayed flat. $195.

ABC 1490 Ribbon Microphone Radio Station Promo Adv

Issued by ABC station 1490 and tunes only to 1490 in early plastic shaped like a ribbon microphone. Measures approx 12″ high. Does have some damage. The front has clearly been near a heat source and shows cracking and warping on both base and “mic”. The “grill” is pulling away on both sides and there is a small crack along the top. It powers up but produces no sound. $65.

1951 Little Egypt Universal Movie Belly Dancer Premium

I can’t be a bigger fan of this little piece, made for the 1951 Little Egypt release starring Rhonda Fleming the cover reads “Little Egypt Match-less Dances” and is shaped like an oversized matchbook (3″x4″). ”Spine” reads The Shape that Shook the World. Inside shows film information and gives the following instructions: 1. Flip Pages with Thumb 2. Watch 3. Wow! She is great, maybe fifty black/white exhibit style photos make a belly dancing flipbook. Fantastic! Condition is very nice but of course creased where it should be from having been flipped. Under the photos there is a pitch line “her affairs were legendary, her hoochy koochy rocked the world’s first Chicago Worlds Fair.” $35.

1912 Titanic Ship Disaster Illustrator Print

Issued by Allied Printing of Pittsburg PA, dated 1912 and copyrighted “Rowland R. Murdoch.” Murdoch (1876-1917) was an illustrator for The Pittsburgh Press. This was likely a send away that you could buy from the paper after the wreck as a commemoration. Print shows the vessel has just begun going down, with crowded lifeboats on the water and plumes of smoke above. Nice to see a different image. Measures 15″ x 23 3/4″. Was mounted early on, shows overall and even toning. Has a few nicks to the print and most seriously a tear and bit of loss to right margin/background field. $95.

c1900 Hawkes Cut Glass Silver Cocktail Shaker Hotel Barware

Signed Hawkes cut-glass cocktail shaker measuring nearly 13″ high and 3″ wide at the mouth – nearly 6″ at its widest. It is a monster that harkens to turn of the century Industrial excess and gentlemen’s clubs. The only damage that I can find is one flaw in the glass and a thumb indent on the rim of the “silver.” Its just plain a stunning piece, will dominate any antique bar service. $195.

Beautiful image of five railroad men in different states of dress representing their specific jobs posed for camera. Crystal clear, great image. One bit of flash all the way at their feet does not detract. Measures 8″ x 10″, paper shows slight wave. Comes with original PRR slip cover/envelope that gives you names to research. $65.
